Sadly this place is closed to the public. We made a two and a half detour when we were in the area to find it had been closed for sometime. Funny that we found brochures for Alamo Village in several places when we were in Texas. I still want to move to Texas it was an awesome place.

I visited this place as a kid several times with my family. I brought my kids there when they were little. It makes me sick to see this place closed now. John Wayne's Alamo has been my favorite movie since I was a kid. If i had the money I would buy and restore this property to it former glory and re-open to the public. It makes me sad that know younger generations won't be able to experience this awesome place.
